In order to strengthen the home-school connection, let the parents of the graduating classes have a deeper understanding of the education and teaching methods of our school in preparing for the Senior High School Entrance Examination and the learning condition of the students to form the joint forces of home-school education as well as cultivate students' positive and healthy preparation for the examination, on the afternoon of 22nd March, Anqing Foreign Language School's Junior High Department of the east campus organized a mobilization meeting for parents of the graduating classes.
To be specific, this parents' meeting was divided into two parts. In the first place, parents gathered in the Lecture Hall to listen to the mobilization report of Principal Assistant Lu Dan. First of all, Principal Assistant Lu Dan pointed out that the purpose of the parents' meeting was to build a home-school communication platform to realize cooperation. Then, Principal Assistant Lu Dan introduced in detail the work schedule of the graduating classes in the later stage, namely three rounds of review and three big tests -- experimental tests of physics, chemistry and biology, simulation tests in addition to the PE entrance examination. Finally, Principal Assistant Lu Dan put forward suggestions on family education in that parents should establish the awareness of "Having Examinees At Home", guarantee logistical support and create a warm and harmonious family environment.
In the second place, each class held their respective parents' meetings. The head teachers reported students' current learning performance and psychological state to the parents, affirmed the advantages and pointed out the shortcomings in the meantime. Also, head teachers put forward suggestions and hoped parents would create a good learning environment, pay close attention to their children's study and life, stimulate their ambition and enterprise, cooperate with the school and make concerted efforts to promote the progress of the children in the final sprint phase and enhance their ability to correctly face the Senior High School Entrance Examination and challenge themselves. After the meeting, parents communicated with the teachers of each subject.
In conclusion, this parents' meeting not only narrowed the distance between the school and parents, but also laid a solid foundation for the follow-up work. We firmly believe that with the joint efforts of home and school, our students from the 12th grade will accomplish their dreams in the Senior High School Entrance Examination.
